Results of evaluation of video object tracking algorithm being a part of an autonomous surveillance system are presented. The algorithm was investigated employing a set of benchmarks recorded locally. The precision of object detection, evaluated with such metrics as fragmentation, object area recall and object precision, is in focus. The experiments aimed at examining the detection quality using various object detection algorithm parameter settings are described. The analysis of results of carried out experiments is included.
