The authors present their own solution - a prototype application forcasual smartphones. It utilizes electrocompass, built-in GPS receiver and optional DGPS receiver, which ensures acceptable accuracy. Main spatial data source is the popular OpenStreetMapsystem, what makes system useful all around the world at no additional cost. Extra batch of spatialdata can be added by users or community. Software part of the system guides users to desiredtarget, using speech synthesis. It was written in a way ensuring portability, what makes it possibleto use on the majority of smartphones. The system is developed and tested with the support of blindconsultants.
