In induction motors damage in the elements of electromagnetic system, for example in the wiring of stator, rotor or in the magnetic circuit can appear as well as damage of mechanical parts (bearings, rotor, shaft). Bearing diagnostics is so important in supervision of motor condition, because extensive research shows that the bearings arethe elements most susceptible to damage. This paper presents the research which the author finds interesting, i.e. that concerning the diagnostics of motor bearings which utilises different type of measurements, like measurements of vibrations(by piezoelectric and laser vibrometer), motor current (MCSA), and instantaneous power consumed by the motor. The metod of motor current measurement and analysis,elaborated by author, is shown in the paper. The results of investigations of measuring system are presented in the paper. During the research described here, verification of the obtained results was performed through assessment of bearing condition with the usageof a vibration diagnostics system. In the future author plans the reduction of measurement system noise as well as widen range of faults, recognized by diagnostic system. Also reliability of diagnosis in motor current system will be improved.
